Our client in Tampa is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, including reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage payroll processing accurately and on schedule
• Assist with tax-related reporting and preparation activities
• Review financial data, analyze account activity, and resolve discrepancies
• Record and balance debit and credit transactions
• Utilize NetSuite and other accounting systems to support daily accounting operations
• Provide additional administrative support as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Tampa
